In Your Head

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

When I endeavored to write the book Reality and Hope, one of the initial projects I had to complete was to take what I had written in the past and find commonalities that we could eventually turn into chapters. If I were to do this again, based upon what I have been observing recently, clearly one chapter would be on Change. Specifically, what it takes to make a sincere and authentic change in life.

Every person we coach desires some kind of change. If there’s nothing about your life or business you want to change, then for goodness’ sake do not get a coach!

Over and Over

Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

How much thought, energy, and effort has gone into helping others find some mystical key to success? If you were to scour the internet looking for resources on how to become successful in your work or in your life, you would undoubtedly find thousands of ideas, strategies, tactics and suggestions.

There may be quite a few people who eagerly began reading today’s post because they thought they thought the title read “Bank Notes.” One day I may write about how to get more bank notes, but today I’m excited to tell you about “back notes.”

I have once again been tremendously blessed to be among a great group of people this week. There is something about being with likeminded people that brings out the best in us. However, there is also a way it can bring out the worst.

Sometimes being around excellence can cause you to be confronted with an area of your life that you know is deficient.

Tie a WHY to It

Friday, October 28th, 2011

One of the most crucial roles a coach plays is helping people stay on track with specified action. There are countless methodologies to how we coaches help our clients do this, and an equally vast array of deflections we must combat. Sometimes we must inspire and other times we must speak a sharp truth.

Why don’t we just do what we know would be good for us?
